Free CNA Training Programs

Certified nursing assistants are always in high demand, and the market for them is continually growing. The surge in people choosing to become a CNA over the past few years is no co-incidence, as the impeding retirement of the ‘baby boomers’ loom, this is creating more opportunities for CNA’s, expecially the younger recently qualified ones, to find work and get started as a certified nurse.

For those who have yet to enroll in a course, or are thinking about it, its always worth remembering that although you can’t beat proper, paid tuition, there ARE free options available to you if you wish to go down that route. There is a wide range of sources available for free cna training via hospitals, online courses, free information websites, job training groups and of course there are local training classes held throughout the country that you can enquire about enrolling in – the red cross cna class being one of them.

Make sure you fully investigate all your options before enrolling in a cna training program, there are free options available and it can save you a LOT of money going down this route.

It’s so hard to find a free program now-a-days it might just be worth refocusing a search for cheap programs rathar than free ones. Even the red cross doesn’t offer free classes (to my knowledge) anymore and charges almost $2,000. I called every hospital within 30 miles of where I live to see if they had facility based programs that were cheaper (let alone free) than most school based programs and there wasn’t a single hospital that even offered a program. I would love to find a free online program in California that offers clinicals close by but until then I will have to save up for the cheapest program in my area ($800).

How ever, if you live in the NY area, I have noticied in my basic Yahoo! search that there ARE free CNA classes in that state and all you have to do is type in “free cna classes” and it pops up a few sites down. Hope that has helped someone.

If anyone knows any good online free CNA programs that are accredited, please feel free to email me: Magichospital@yahoo.com
